Ptosis is a condition where the muscles of the upper eyelid lose their elasticity, sometimes due to paralysis, which can cause loss of vision. Causes include the following: cataract surgery as the area is weakened anyway; obesity and fat that causes a weakened eyelid; weakened connective tissue of the upper eye lid. Medical treatment usually involves surgery to correct the problem. Surgery is always a risk and may take months for total recovery. Following, the connective tissue weakness is still evident.
Natural healing includes strengthening nerves, muscles, tendons, and connective tissue. Using natural supplements for several weeks to months will help strengthen this area.
