BIMALA: THE CLASSIC TIBETAN FORMULA TO CALM THE MIND AND ENCOURAGE RESTFUL SLEEP
Do you endure sleepless nights and mood swings throughout the day? Doctors of Tibetan Medicine have long used Bimala (Dza ti 20), also known as Vimala, to provide herbal support for these difficulties.
If you experience insomnia, the inability to fall asleep, night waking, or simple restlessness, Bimala can provide you with relief. Bimala works equally well for nervousness, sadness, lack of concentration, and forgetfulness. Often recommended for those on the spiritual path, meditators and people who are seeking a more calm and balanced mind, Bimala is widely used in Tibetan medicine. In general, Agar 35 and Bimala can be used to treat similar conditions. People who ‘run cold’ should use Bimala, as it is slightly warming, while those who tend toward the hot end of the spectrum may find Agar 35 more supportive.
In addition to the stress and anxiety-reducing effects, reports are coming in saying that Bimala and Agar 35 are for many people effective treatments for tinnitus, or ringing in the ear. Tinnitus effects more than 10% of the population, worldwide. A growing number of people have notified us that their tinnitus was reduced by more than 60% after just a few days of taking Bimala.
This formula was developed by the great Indian Pandita (scholar) and Buddhist Dzogchen master Vimalamitra in the ninth century, whose works on Buddhist philosophy, meditation practice, medicine and alchemy are still studied and practiced today.
We now carry Bimala in both capsules and the traditional pellet form. Capsules can be swallowed with warm water on an empty stomach, either morning or evening. This formula can also be used both morning before eating, and before bed for greater support. To take the pellets it is necessary to crush or chew the pellets and swallow with warm or hot water. There are 50 capsules or pellets per bottle. Take 1-2 capsules or pellets in the evening or morning. As with many Tibetan herbal formulas, Bimala is most effective when taken on an empty stomach.
