Earaches come from infection or inflammation of the inner parts of the ear. They may also be caused by Eustachian tubes that are blocked or inflamed. They can be acute or become chronic over time. Often ear problems, as the Chinese describe, are linked to kidney problems. One can put a hot pack over the kidneys or use other remedies to strengthen the kidneys.
Symptoms are various types of pains felt on the inside or outside of the ear; heat, pressure, stabbing pains, etc.
Modern medicine treats earaches with antibiotics. While helping in some cases, this does not address the cause. To treat the cause, support the ear and kidney areas of the body and let it heal itself.
Earache Detection
Press on the tragus (outer ear button). If sensitive, it may be a sign of inner ear inflammation.
Pull back ears and put pressure on the mastoid bone. If tender or sensitive, it may be an ear inflammation or infection.
Further, slide your finger down the bone behind the ear into the canal and push firmly down to the bottom of the neck. Any tenderness along this Eustachian tube (the equalization tube between the ears and the throat) may indicate a blockage and contribute to an earache or infection.
Natural solutions reduce inner ear and Eustachian tube congestion and assist the kidneys in reducing fluid pressure within the ears. Diet suggestion – avoid dairy products that may cause excess mucus in the body.
