Croup is a highly contagious respiratory virus. It affects children most seriously at ages 0 to 5. Croup is caused by contact with someone coughing or sneezing.
Symptoms of croup start out as a cold and progress to a barking cough or croupy cough. It may cause hoarseness or loss of voice. In children their may be a fever.
From the medical perspective they can’t help a viral disease but may use steroidal inhalers for emergency purposes while the body takes care of itself.
Children are at most risk usually when they have a poor diet of fast food or sugars. Prevention is the best bet. They following herbs and other natural supplements will help to strengthen the immune system and symptoms. The best results are using natural substances at the start of the symptoms.
