Music For Everyone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The hearing-impaired and even the deaf can now experience music, in a new collaboration between the Junge Symphoniker Hamburg Orchestra in Germany and wearable tech company CuteCircuit.\u00a0 The pair <\/span>has<span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\"> created the Sound Shirt, an incredible garment that translates sound into vibrations.\u00a0 When the Junge Symphoniker Hamburg Orchestra plays classical music, the wearers can feel the various instruments, each sound interpreted by a software linked to the wireless shirts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Believing that each person should have the right to experience music, the orchestra came up with the idea for the Sound Shirt.\u00a0 After six months of research and development, the shirt and the orchestra\u2019s stage are equipped to allow even the deaf to experience their performances.\u00a0 First, microphones are arranged all over the stage to pick up the individual instruments.\u00a0 The recordings are sent to Sound Shirt\u2019s software, which converts the sound into data.\u00a0 The data is then transmitted directly to the shirt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The shirt itself resembles a comfortable athletic sweatshirt, which is lined with a flexible, wireless system.\u00a0 Throughout the Sound Shirt, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cutecircuit.com\/soundshirt\/\">CuteCircuit<\/a> <\/strong>placed 16 motors, each assigned to a different instrument in the orchestra based on their sound and pitch.\u00a0 For example, the upright <\/span>base<span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\"> is picked up on the stomach motor, and the violins are assigned to the arm and shoulder motors.\u00a0 As the orchestra plays, the motors are activated, and vibrate with the intensity of the music, allowing the wearer to feel the encompassing sound of the full orchestra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Interested deaf people can register on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sound-shirt.jimdo.com\/english-1\/\">sound-shirt.com<\/a> <\/strong>and take part in a raffle for the upcoming concerts of the orchestra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin-left: auto;
